Ground handler Menzies acquires shareholding in China’s JFreight

The venture will see Menzies manage and operate a new cargo terminal at Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport in China, on behalf of the shareholders of JFreight, which is noted for its utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) systems and robotics to create a ‘smart’ terminal which also has an electronic interaction point with Chinese Customs, outlines a statement. The terminal has the capacity to handle some 120,000 tonnes annually.

Air China confirms WFS as its handler of choice in Europe

Under the Heathrow contract, which has been expanded to a further three years, the ground operator will handle B777 and A330 flights from London and, in Germany, ex-Frankfurt B777 passenger and freighter services have been extended for a further 12 months.
