Air China extends its Oceania reach

Air China to launch direct Mumbai service

AIR CHINA is to introduce a seven-hour, non-stop bellyhold cargo service from Beijing to Mumbai from October 25.

The new route, which is the only service from mainland China to Mumbai, will go some way towards meeting an ever-increasing market demand for air services in the economic, trade, tourism and cultural sectors, says a statement by the carrier.

The new development is a further expansion of its global route network from its hub in Beijing.

Air China commenced new Beijing-Minsk-Budapest services during the first half of this year. Beijing-Islamabad-Karachi, Beijing-Kuala Lumpur, Beijing-Colombo, Beijing-Johannesburg and Beijing-Addis Ababa are also planned, the statement adds.

These new services will increase the number of Asia-Pacific destinations Air China serves to 17 – and brings the number of non-stop flights between China and India up to eight a week.
